You did a great job researching the roots of the whole thing in my country, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I'm really impressed, it's the first time I see such an in-depth analysis on Medium. But let me give you a little perspective from this corner of the woods. When fall of Yugoslavia unraveled in the 1990s, instead of a unilateral global support and intervention, we got a military weapons embargo and the Dutch were too understaffed to stop Bosnian Serbs from committing a bloody genocide in Srebrenica, under the eyes of the world that chose to look the other way. And then in her election campaign, that hideous compulsive liar called Hillary Clinton made up a pretty little story for her clueless supporters about running away from sniper fire on the tarmac of the Sarajevo airport when in fact she got a reception with a little girl handing her flowers. If I had the right to vote, I'd rather for the devil himself than her. If it weren't for the Clintons and their fellow warmonger Madeline Albright with their private interests in Kosovo, the situation would be very different now. Trump is nothing but a consequence of Bonnie and Clyde who left their disastrous trace everywhere they were involved in, from Monica's blue dress to the disastrous Dayton Peace Agreement. By Richard Holbrook's own admission, the biggest mistake of his career. But who cares? It was left to us to deal with the paralyzing political consequences due to which we're on foreign life support to this very day.
