When I look at other people, including women, I seek for kindness, knowledge or a common ground instead of constantly being on alert from a possible attacker. Yes, there are quite a few assholes out there. But if you give them too much rent-free space in your head, it's really your fault- I don't mean getting molested or raped (which is a criminal offense anyway), but denying yourself the time to devote to things that add value instead of harm to your life. I'm a liberal and very active in the critical discourse- but to all involved sides, because none of you are completely devoid of hypocrisy. Trust me, it's quite exhausting to be on alert 24/7. Give yourself a break, you can't fix everybody's problems. Nor should you have to, unless you're paid for it. There's a limit to every compassion.
