What I found out is that if you, like me, live in a culture with close-knit families or lots of traditional and conservative values and you're either single, childless or have a career that's not one those usual office jobs, you're out of the picture and you slowly start to feel like a piece of furniture in the room. It goes so far that I don't even know why I talk to any of those people at all since there's hardly any part of my life they're interested in. And it's frustrating.
