Trump rose to power because Americans were fed up with identity politics. Having a female or an African -American president became much more important than their competence. You don't really have to know anything about the top job if Democrats can sell your victory as a historical milestone to their voters. And this approach will destroy whatever is left of America. Trump just pulled the trigger and it was a question of time. If it wasn't him, it would be someone else. The insurrection in Washington was just a trailer for what's coming. If America decides they're going for the quality instead of box-ticking, there's hope. But that ship is about to sail and Biden did his best to push it as far as possible.
