Speaking of his jealousy of Hemingway, that was warranted indeed since he was a better writer than F. Scott Fitzgerald. The only thing that made Zelda appealing was this whole flapper-like image and her mental health issues. Now the feminists use her as some sort of an icon, instead of using her as an example how to live beyond your means and wasting your life away on wrong people. Regarding her writing, it wasn't nearly as exciting as her unsustainably glamorous biography that makes bored housewives with a family look like a much better idea.
