No one owes you free promotion, they have to find the book worth it and be enthusiastic about it. Even that's wishful thinking without someone fully committed to put your work out there. I doubt anyone would do it for free either. If your motivation is profit you might as well give up right now. And I'm a published author. I didn't start that way, but if people don't recognize something in your work, don't embarrass yourself by pitching it to everyone. We're way past the period where self-published book were in the spotlight without any added effort. You're probably no Margaret Atwood but Vincent Van Gogh sold only one painting during his life, on the other hand. Stop expecting things, keep working.
