No. Medium is killing its own appeal by denying monetisation access to "third world" writers who are kept outside and earn nothing even for brilliant writing. They stay here due to pure enthusiasm and are still explicitely discriminated. Imagine someone working for free. Would you do it? Don't be silly. It would be nice if eligible writers were to iniate a change in policy, but it's unlikely to happen, it seems.
