I wanted to say, when you book a vacation over there, the agent will only show you beaches, resorts and cocktail bars, I do hope clients are warned in advance but not nearly enough, otherwise there wouldn't be so many incidents. I know the first thing I say when I meet a group of tourists is to be careful about their personal belongings. Though the crime rate isn't nearly as high in tourism as over there and you're unlikely to get raped. Agencies do it primarily to avoid lawsuits.
