Maybe you'd like a real-life date but the men are either closeted or married and closeted. There's no way out of it unless you move away so you resign yourself to empty pleasures because sometimes even a one-night stand is a matter of wishful thinking because the guy next door is hundreds of doors away from you. And then you look for a quick relief in porn and get hooked to it either by necessity or due to boredom. It leads to anxiety, loneliness, emptiness and occasional suicidal crises since you can't catch a break and you know it's not going to change. In big cities apps are a thing of boredom, in small a thing of survival. Trust me on this one.
