All of this is wonderful in theory until you need help that you can't get in a situation when you need it. My mother developed a severe autoimmune disease and couldn't walk or talk at an age where she could have enjoyed her life the most. Now imagine having a family that helps you cope with something incurable when you need to use the bathroom or have a shower. Or paying a nurse to do it and stare at the wall for the rest of the day. You may have friends but over time most of them dissipate and go on with their lives. Most people in developed countries have the freedom of choice which is a great achievement beyond doubt. But if there's no one around to call an ambulance if you need it, feminism will be the last thing on your mind.
